Dear fellow Metallic Silhouette Shooters  

The Swiss Metallic Silhouette Shooting Association is pleased to invite you to the second match set up in Switzerland on our shooting range.

Please read the following information carefully. If some questions remain still unanswered, do not hesitate to contact us.

Information

Date and Shooting time

Friday, May 18, 2012           from 10 am to 6 pm

Saturday, May 19, 2012       from 9 am to 4 pm

After 4 pm the first three places per event will be announced

Location / Shooting range

Shooting range “Selgis” in CH-6436 Muotathal, Switzerland in the centre of Switzerland in mid of mountains.

More detailed Information will be supplied with the Invitation letters. 

Fees

CHF 15.- per event

All 6 events CHF 75.- (lump sum)

Scoring

To be done either by our scorers or by the spotter. It will be advised on the range. 

Target Setting

No target setting necessary.

Targets

Targets are not free standing as the target setting is done mechanically.

Color and painting of targets

Targets are black and will not be painted after each string of fire. 

Alibi

Only fallen targets will be counted. No alibis will be given due to a hit but non-fallen target. 

Firing line

Firing line is completely covered. The Shooter and Spotter are protected against rain. A shooter may lie on the bottom or on a kind of a table above ground.

Number of shots per event

All events are 40 shots events, with additional 5 shots on falling sighter targets before.

Course of fire

Each shooter will have 10 targets per distance. Those targets will be shot in two strings of fire, 5 targets per string. All the timing is according to the IMSSU Sporting Rules.

The shooter may have to change his position when changing the distance.

Tie breaks

Reverse animal count is used.

If a tie cannot get broken with reverse animal count, a shoot off must be shot.

Banning of calibers or ammunition

For the Field Pistol events we reserve the right to ban a caliber or only the cartridges of a certain shooter to protect our targets. There are normally no problems with the “normal” calibers, used for Field Pistol.

Safety in the shooting building and at the firing line

Every shooter shall strictly follow all the safety rules according to the IMSSU Sporting Rules. Instructions given by the Match Director or Range Officers is to be followed. Safety glasses and ear protection are to be worn by everybody at the firing line. Everybody inside the shooting building must wear ear protection.

Accommodation

There are rooms for accommodation available in Muotathal, close to the shooting range. If you need a room please contact H.M. Pfenninger. He will be glad to help you to find a room.

Registration procedure

If you wish to attend, please return to us the filled in registration form.

We will confirm your participation by e-Mail and sending to you an official invitation letter.

You then have to pay your start fees to our bank account in advance and in CHF, what will make your participation definite.

There will be a limitation of the number of shooters we can accept. For reasons of fairness we will handle the incoming registrations strictly in the order of their incoming date.

Payment / Currency

All payment either in advance or payments on the range or payment in Hotels e.g. shall be done in CHF.

1 EUR  = 1.25 CHF

Start fee and “no show up”

A start fee is a kind of a forfeit, what means that the money is lost if you do not show up.

Bringing firearm to Switzerland

You can bring Firearms and ammunition temporarily to Switzerland, when you have an invitation letter and an European Firearms Pass. For Non-Europeans the invitation letter is sufficient. Do not bring more then 200 cartridges per firearm.
